ZEROED-IN WINS LEARNING ANALYTICS SHOOTOUT TITLE AT TRAINING FALL 2005

Competition fails to step up to shootout scenario challenge giving Zeroed-In an easy, but well-earned victory.

Linthicum, MD -- October 25, 2005 - Zeroed-In Technologies walked away with 1 of 2 winner titles to the first-ever Learning Analytics Shootout scheduled at the Training Fall 2005 conference and exposition in Long Beach, CA. The shootout, turned showcase due to the lack of qualifying vendors, was conceived and facilitated by Bryan Chapman, lead e-learning analyst at Brandon Hall Research. Of the 30 vendors invited to participate, only 2 stepped up to the challenge of showing how their solutions met the defined scenarios of measuring the impact of learning on the business, and measuring learning's return on investment (ROI).

Both standalone learning analytic vendors and learning management system vendors with analytic modules were invited. "The scenarios although high level and loosely structured proved to be too difficult for many", said Chapman, further remarking that the definition of learning analytics is still fuzzy among many vendor solutions. "I believe some vendors realized they may not have a learning analytics solution as the market needs define".

Following the scenarios created around a fictitious call center Zeroed-In showcased CLO Dashboard, its web-based learning and performance dashboard solution. CLO Dashboard combines learning analytics with concepts from the Balanced Scorecard and the Oregon Productivity Matrix models. To show the impact that training had on call center sales as well as the ROI scenario, Zeroed-In set up a series of key learning indicators and their underlying composite measures. The indicators, Sales Performance, Sales Readiness, and Operational Excellence, where used to show how learning executives could measure and show the impact that training was having on sales performance. The showcase concluded with examples of how CLO Dashboard automatically pulls learning and business data together from disparate sources.

In addition to participating in the showcase at Training Fall 2005, Zeroed-In president Chris Moore led an educational session titled "Seven Key Learning Indicators Your CEO Really Needs to Know". The session walked participants through a model for building a learning and performance scorecard and highlighted the common indicators of success for learning organizations.
